Discount Mitsubishi WD-60738 60-Inch 1080p 3D DLP HDTV

Below is my initial review, however I have changed my opinion. This TV seemed almost too perfect at first, however now has some terrible artifacts in the image. On certain channels, the darker color are all over the place searching for color. I see graininess and color shifting. I plan to return within my 30 day period and am disappointed as I initially had high hopes for this TV. My old SONY rear projection LCD had none of these issues. I had thought it was my signal or cables, however that was not the case.

Initial Review.

Purchased this unit after an old SONY rear projection LCD began to fail. Although I've seen poor reviews on the long term sustainability of DLP, I believe the technology has come a long way in the last couple of years, plus Mitsubishi wouldn't be selling a bad product. The TV arrived in just a few days and was pretty much 'plug and play.' The FIOS box and DVD installed easily.

Then I noticed a small black line in the bottom left of the picture. It appeared that part of the frame was projecting in front of the projector causing a shadow. I called Mitsubishi service and within 2 days a tech came out and fixed the issue. Great response time.

The picture is amazing and has various settings to adjust. It's so good, it shows all the imperfections in the standard def channels that my SONY didn't. The sound was terrible at first, however after playing around with the settings I was able to activate a surround sound type feature that gave it a boost. You'd think it would've been a pre-set.

One thing that really pushed me towards this model was the streaming internet TV. You can buy a wireless adapter or hardwire. The problem for me is that my internet connection is on my third floor and wireless is spotty. I spent a day searching, but found a coax to ethernet converter from Actiontec (bought through Amazon) which works with FIOS. Still waiting for it to arrive.

Overall great purchase and best bang for your buck for size of screen.Get more detail about Mitsubishi WD-60738 60-Inch 1080p 3D DLP HDTV.

Cheapest Mitsubishi WD-82837 82-Inch 1080p 120Hz Home Theater DLP HDTV

The Mitsibishi WD-82837 DLP TV is incredible! From the grand size to the terrific picture. I cannot begin to say how pleased I am with this TV. I wasn't sure if the DLP would be a quality picture compared to the LCD, LED or plazma. But after gettting it set up and the HD picture on I know it is everything I had hoped for and MORE! I wanted big and it dosn't get any bigger than this!!! I saved over $1000 purchasing it through Amazon That also is incredible!!! Thank You Amazon!!! If I had to pay retail I was leaning more towards the 73", but with the terriffic deal I knew I could go all the way to the 82" The shipping was good, there was a small snag and the set sat in a depot for a few days, but that was more to my not being clear that the original shipping address they were to deliver was to a business so daytime delivery would have been possible for a signature. I called the shipper and they checked and it was set up for the next day for a weekend delivery to my home instead of the original busimess address, so that smal problem was more that taken care of!!! I will most definetly shop Amazon 1st for all my shopping needs in the future!!

Buy Mitsubishi WD-65638 65-Inch 1080p 3D-Ready DLP HDTV

I purchased the Mitsu 60735 (2008 model) 2 years ago. While the 65 has a great clear picture, the remote does not have all of the features of the older version. For example the 2008 model has a guide button on the remote that gives information about the current show on TV as well as what's coming up. Also, there is no way to set the newer model to lengthen the life of the light bulb. I have not had to change the bulb on my 2008 model yet. I attribute that partially to the "power saver" feature. However this model does not offer that feature. I guess Mitsu was not making enough money on the replacement bulbs so they took it off as an option.

All in all the picture is great and when using 3D it is absolutly beautiful!Get more detail about Mitsubishi WD-65638 65-Inch 1080p 3D-Ready DLP HDTV.

Purchase Mitsubishi WD-73738 73-Inch 1080p 3D DLP HDTV

I got this TV on 7/28/10 and it worked fine until a week, then suddenly stopped working with 1080P content. My XBOX and Blue ray players were not displaying anything. I did a reset of the TV by pressing Menu + 1 2 3 , and everthing started working again. I posted this as it might help other users. At first i thought it might be problem with my Onkyo TX-NR808 Receiver and i almost replaced it but later found it was problem with the TV. I have also configured based on the advice by some other reviews and going to tweak.tv. But they are not specific to this model. If anyone found optimal configuration please post it here.Get more detail about Mitsubishi WD-73738 73-Inch 1080p 3D DLP HDTV.

Order Mitsubishi WD-60737 60-Inch 1080p 120Hz Home Theater DLP HDTV

This is a great set overall. We have been using it as our main set for the past 4 months and have no issues with it. The main thing is the picture which is super; whether using our satellite, DVD or blue-ray. Sound quality is OK; not great but certainly not bad. We are amazed at how light it is for such a large screen. We have a recessed area in our den for a TV an it fits perfectly in this space - filling it completely. It is almost like it was made just for this set.

It takes a while to boot up, maybe 15 seconds or so, but once it is on the picture is fantastic. There is a bit of the "rainbow" effect that DLP's are known for but it is not a problem for us and no one who watches the set ever mentions it. This effect is none existent during the day but becomes more pronounced as the room gets darker (ie: at night). If you are not familiar with this, it only happens when you QUICKLY look away. If you are watching the set, there is no rainbow at all. We have also noted that there is a BIG difference in picture quality depending on what receiver box it is hooked up to. Our first was a DVR (non-HD) from Directv which was good and then that one failed on us, while we were waiting for a replacement we hooked up a standard box from Directv and that picture was terrible. Then the "new" DRV (non-HD) was received and it has a superior picture. You would think that the same signal would yield the same quality, but we noticed a big variance - go figure.

PROS:
- Great picture. Blue ray is unreal!
- No motion artifacts / jitter that we saw on LCD or Plasma sets. Even the 240Hz had some of this.
- Light weight.
- All screen! Almost zero boarder.
- Incredible amount of user set up options.
- 3D ready (although we have no experience with this to share).
- Fantastic color rendition. Much better than anything else we have seen.
- Great image depth.
- Cost. You will not find anything even close to this set for this price. DLP rocks!

CONS:
- Not a flat screen. You won't be hanging this on the wall.
- Some "rainbow" effect. It does not bother us at all.
- Best viewed straight on (which is how we use it). Some picture degradation to the side.

Some have stated that they hear the light wheel. Ours is dead quiet.
Some have mentioned the "blinking green led". No problem with ours.

Bottom line - if something happened to this set, we would buy it again.
